Health Public Hearing:

The Committee on Health held a Public Hearing on the Bill 23-0192, “Cottage Food Expansion Amendment Act of 2019”

When? Tuesday, April 23rd at 3:30 pm 

Where? Wilson Building, Room 412, 1350 Pennsylvania Ave, NW

What? This bill expands the permitted sales venues beyond farmer’s markets and special events to allow all direct-to-consumer sales and removes the $25,000 revenue cap.

Why? It is imperative that the DC Council hears from you the positive impact that expanding the cottage food law will have on your community.

Why? We want to do everything we can to show the potential positive impact this legislation could have on DC’s local business community. We are hoping that this bill is the first in a series of reforms that will make it cheaper, faster and simpler for entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams in the District.
